Although a very simple maneuver and exercise, this introduction to a slightly advanced stall situation (the accelerated stall) allows the instructor to introduce a stall recovery strategy and also discuss roll stability. An awareness of negative roll stability and it’s influence on stall characteristics are fundamental to awareness, recognition, prevention and recovery processes in upset prevention and recovery training (UPRT).
