Advancing Loss of Control Training in APAC

Asia Pacific RegionTThe goal of APRAST was to gain insight into the ICAO UPRT Manual and how to implement its far reaching requirements and recommendations. Based on the APRAST seminar on Loss of Control In-flight (LOC-I) solutions, the Safety Enhancement Initiative on UPRT will be elevated into the Regional Aviation Safety Group (RASG) yearly work program, giving it a much higher priority in the Asia-Pacific region. An APRAST UPRT champion has been selected and will be structuring guidance to the regulators of member states, regions and territories in the region.
In was a great honor and privilege for APS to help facilitate what turned out to be a pivotal meeting and seminar in the APAC region. It’s exciting to witness and to be a small part of the implementation of ICAO UPRT Manual requirements and recommendations with the APRAST team of dedicated professionals and aviation experts.
