Original PRWeb Release: US Congress Mandate on Upset Recovery Facilitated by Instructor Training
Mesa, Arizona (PRWEB) July 23, 2013 – Aviation Performance Solutions LLC (APS), a specialized professional pilot flight school, announced today the release of its Train-the-Trainer Jet Upset Simulator Instructor Program to FAA-regulated airlines. This APS program is uniquely designed to assist airlines and airline transport pilot training center instructors to comprehensively comply with the portion of Public Law 111-216 Section 208 by US Congress related to stall and upset training. This law requires Part 121 air carriers to provide crewmembers with improved upset recovery and stall training in a particular make, model, and series of aircraft.
“APS has created a special program to teach Airplane Upset Recovery to instructors. It includes academics and techniques that the instructors can effectively teach to their students. This not only meets the Congressional crewmember training mandate but provides the right skills to pilots that find themselves in an upset condition,” said John Cox, President of Safety Operating Systems, the former Executive Air Safety Chairman for the Air Line Pilots Association, a member of the Airplane Upset Recovery Training Aid team, and an International Air Transport Association trained Airline Auditor. “Using new iPad LOC-I technology in conjunction with actual airplane upset training, including jet training, is the most effective way for pilots and instructors to lower the risk of a loss of control event”.
