GBAA: APS Speaks on LOC-I at Business Aviation Safety Day

Mr. David Carroll, Director of Training Programs for Aviation Performance Solutions (APS), was invited to speak at the Georgia Business Aviation Association’s (GBAA) Safety Day. This event, held on August 21st, 2013, at the Atlanta/Marietta Hilton Conference Center, was quite a testament to the GBAA’s serious attention to safety. There were over 130 individuals attending this event! The audience was engaged and asked some very thoughtful questions after the presentation.
Mr. Carroll made a one-hour presentation to an audience that included pilots, maintainers, and flight department managers on the topic that remains the number one killer in General Aviation: Loss of Control-Inflight (LOC-I). David focused his presentation on why Upset Prevention and Recovery Training (UPRT) was needed and the components found in an effective UPRT program. David considered the GBAA safety day a huge success due to their selection of a variety of very qualified presenters covering a broad range of topics.
