Mesa, AZ – February 15, 2024:
Aviation Performance Solutions (APS) is proud to introduce Jason ‘Duke’ Smith, the newest APS advanced UPRT instructor pilot in our cadre of industry experts to have completed the six months of UPRT instructor experience needed to be fully qualified to teach comprehensive academic and on-aircraft Upset Prevention and Recovery Training (UPRT).
Duke brings with him an extensive background in all-attitude flying and a wealth of experience from his distinguished career in the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF), where he served with distinction, completing 40 hours of combat missions and excelling in various instructional roles. His philosophy aligns perfectly with APS’ core mission: We Help Pilots Bring Everyone Home Safely. Duke’s experience and dedication are invaluable assets as we continue to develop and deliver the most effective UPRT programs to address the number one fatal risk in aviation – Loss of Control In-flight (LOC-I).
