Deidra “Weeble” Fuller is a former NASA Space Shuttle Main Propulsion System Flight Controller and USAF pilot.
Deidra received a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Montana State University and graduated with highest honors. She then worked for Exxon as a process engineer. Deidra left Exxon to pursue her dream of being a fighter pilot and astronaut.
Selected to be an officer in the Air National Guard, Deidra was a distinguished graduate from Officer Training School and Aircraft Maintenance Officer School. She served as an F-16 Maintenance officer and as a traditional guardsman. During this time, she attended Rice University and received her Master’s degree in chemical engineering. During her time at Rice she did research at NASA Johnson Space Center and worked as a Co-op at NASA every other semester working in the Engineering and Flight Operations Directorate. She then accepted a full time position as a flight controller in mission control in the Booster Section. She was also selected to interview for the NASA Astronaut program. Deidra left NASA to go to USAF pilot training.
When she’s not flying, Deidra loves to ski and go whitewater kayaking. She is happily married to Brad Fuller and they have two huskies: Sam and Shishka.
