We are seeking an experienced Senior Sales Manager to join the company’s dynamic aviation sales team. The position will require strong and proven communications skills along with a highly professional attitude and approach to the company’s growing list of new clients while maintaining positive relationships with existing clients.

Job Information: The Senior Sales Manager is responsible for identifying new prospects and collaborating with our internal team of experts to deliver APS solutions to identified strategic prospects and existing clients.  This will be accomplished by following a consultative, strategic selling approach to tailor APS Solutions that address the unique needs of a very discerning and professional group of clients and prospects.

Responsibilities: The Senior Sales Manager will demonstrate a consultative, strategic selling approach to identify, target and penetrate companies by aligning APS capabilities and unique strengths with the client’s critical business issues and safety objectives.  In this role, he/she:

  • Effectively researches prospect organization to understand industry segment, key business drivers, situational or environmental factors, and business challenges
  • Develops tailored business solutions based on client needs that effectively articulate and differentiate the APS value proposition
  • Uses tools and technology to leverage efforts, including, LinkedIn, and other social media channels
  • Builds and maintains accurate forecasts of sales opportunities
  • Builds individual development plan to continue skill and knowledge growth
  • Works collaboratively with the Client Experience team, Instructor Pilot team and other support teams to continuously improve client satisfaction and uncover new business opportunities

Sales Qualifications:

  • A minimum five years’ new business development experience selling intangible solutions to all levels within organizations, including C-Level executives, at small, medium, or enterprise level organizations
  • Experience carrying a new business quota of at least $1.5 Million.  Comfortable with a range of deal cycles, from 4 weeks to 18 months
  • Ability to hold a strategic business conversation, understanding how to move a business conversation forward
  • Extremely strong communication skills; the ability to speak convincingly with credibility and polish that makes others want to listen.  Concise, yet able to provide solid examples and stories of success
  • Must have excellent presentation skills and ability to favorably represent the company
  • Ability to develop net new business; demonstrable experience in developing new business businesses of all sizes
  • Able to articulate a specific process for uncovering new opportunities from scratch in addition to following up on inbound leads using cold calling, networking, LinkedIn and other tools to get to decision makers and make a strong case for the solution
  • Able to drive deals to a close with courage, conviction, and persistence using a high level of influence to convince decision makers and decision-making teams to buy despite obstacles or objections
  • Capable of interpreting and applying technical data relating to position
  • Adjusts to rapidly changing circumstances and priorities
  • Reacts calmly and effectively with time sensitive deadlines

Sales Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years previous sales experience
  • High degree of professionalism, honesty and ethics
  • Demonstrated success in past sales role(s)
  • Experience working with Salesforce
  • Ability to organize and plan work adhering to priorities and deadlines
  • Skills to manage multiple work projects
  • Problem solving and creativity to pioneer new sales opportunities
  • Excellent two-way communication, judgment, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
  • Capable of interpreting and applying technical data relating to position
  • Adjust to rapidly changing circumstances and priorities
  • Reacting calmly and effectively with time sensitive deadlines
  • Must have excellent presentation skills and ability to favorably represent the company

Additional Qualifications: The following aviation experience is a strong benefit:

  • Aviation Sales Experience
  • Professional pilot experience in corporate/business aviation, airlines or equivalent
  • Military background
  • Flight school operations
