This 2-day, 3-mission Upset Recovery Training course is the perfect program for pilots of all skill levels wanting to learn more about stall, unusual attitude and spin prevention. You’ll receive comprehensive ground, flight and post-flight instruction on situations from stalls to unusual attitudes to spin dynamics, including basic aerobatics to reinforce your recovery skills.

URT 1

Extra 300/L Handling, Climbs & Descents, Dutch Rolls, Steep Turns, Slow Flight, Power-off Stalls, Power-on Stalls, Falling Leaf Exercise, Zoom Maneuver, Control Loss and Controllability Check.
Basic Aerobatics: Aileron Roll, Inside Loop and Inverted Flight

 Dutch Rolls, Roll Damping Exercise (positive & negative), Stall Review, Mini-Maxi Turns, Accelerated Stalls, Slips and Skids, Slipping Turn to Traffic Pattern Stall, Skidded Turn to Traffic Pattern Stall (big no no), Power Off Approach Demo
Basic Aerobatics: Split-S (half roll and pull through) and Cuban 8

Basic Aerobatics: Hammerhead and Immelman (roll off of the top)
Each Mission Includes:

  • Ground Pre-flight Theory/Briefing: 1.0 hours
  • Flight Time: 0.9 hours
  • Air Time: 0.7 hours (typically a minimum)
  • Ground Post-flight Debriefing/Tape Review: 0.5 hours

  • Certificate of Completion
