[APS Emergency Maneuver Training] is an absolutely
phenomenal company and a concept whose time has
come! ... I believe the real value in your
organization may be in the arena of enhanced flight
safety training for commercial and general
aviation... [the Extra 300L] proves to be an
excellent platform for demonstrating a variety of
emergency maneuvers, departures and recovery
techniques; and with your experienced instructor
pilots it can be done safely and effectively.
I am
convinced that your short courses could aid any
pilot when faced with a new and terrifying
unplanned departure from controlled flight.
Ultimately, this training could save hundreds of
lives lost every year in loss of control
accidents. As a USAF Test Pilot and Fighter
Weapons School graduate, I have flown over 50
different aircraft from gliders, to fighters to
heavies... [the Extra 300L] can can demonstrate
early warning characteristics and effective
recovery techniques to minimize altitude loss or
aircraft damage. I would even go so far as to
advocate its use as an effective platform for
instructing out of control characteristics in
Test Pilot School curricula.
Thank
you for the excellent demonstration of you
aircraft's capabilities and the tour of your
fine company. I enjoyed meeting the friendly and
professional staff who proved to be most
delightful. Your facilities are phenomenal, just
another indicator of a well organized operation.

As a full time
professional airshow and aerobatic pilot,
aviation consultant, flight instructor and three
time U.S. National Aerobatic champion, I am
interested in partnering with or endorsing only
the best in the business. APS's Emergency
Maneuver Training Program has become the
standard for upset training and flight safety
worldwide. Their military trained fighter
pilots, world-class aerobatic airplanes and five
mission Emergency Maneuver Training programs are
right on target. I would encourage anyone that
is concerned about flight safety to take APS's
Emergency Maneuver Training program and then
stay current with additional training within
about every two years.
Sincerely Yours,
Patty Wagstaff
3- time U.S. National Aerobatic Champion

"On
behalf of Lou, ERAU and myself I would like to
thank you and your staff for a most professional
and thorough training experience. Together we
have over 60 years of flying experience and have
attended numerous flight training operations,
and can tell you from our side that we think APS
ranks among the best in the world.
"I think I can speak for Lou
when saying I'll never look at Stall and Spin
Recovery in the same light as I did prior to
last weekend's....... 'To Fly Another Day'." |

As
an instructor who's been beating the drum for
emergency maneuver training for years now, I am
excited and encouraged to see APS take on the
noble task of providing this type of training.
You've done an excellent job of bringing the
necessary resources together for a
professionally administered program.
The APS Emergency Maneuver
Training program is far more comprehensive than
the majority of "other" courses offered out
there. In my opinion, the equipment used by APS
and the experience level of it's instructors are
especially well suited to the corporate and
airline training market.
I wish APS continued success in
the years ahead. |
Sincerely Yours,
Rich Stowell

I've
always known that aerobatic training makes the
best of pilots even better but APS Emergency
Maneuver Training takes it to an entirely
different level. Their combination of
world-class aircraft, fighter pilot instructors,
excellent training facilities, and high-tech
equipment, put them in a league of their own.
Our affiliation is one of the best value-added
packages we have in our professional training
program. When it comes to top-quality emergency
maneuver training, no other company compares to
APS - Emergency Maneuver Training. |

In the fall of 2002 the Cole National Flight
Department attended a 3 day Emergency Maneuvers
Training Course taught by APS at the Gateway
Airport in Mesa, Arizona. This training was done
as a supplement to our usual Flight Safety
training and PIC checks. Although Cole National
has made use of Flight Safety International's
training program for more than 20 years this was
our first experience with APS.
I am a firm believer in the importance of my
pilots knowing the airplane. This goes beyond a
general knowledge of systems and limitations and
includes flight characteristics of the aircraft
as well. There are certain flight
characteristics many pilots prefer not to
experience, however, in my opinion a competent,
professional pilot is much safer having this
type of experience. APS offers a safe,
controlled professional course. Our department
experienced top notch equipment, a well
organized and meaningful training syllabus and
professional, knowledgeable and personable
instructors.
This training although not legally required
is certainly a great enhancement to the daily
operations and safety of our department. I will
continue to highly recommend the APS training
programs. Thank you again for the wonderful
experience and we look forward to working with
you again in the near future.
Sincerely,
Terry Saylor

I had been trying to find a pertinent
training facility for 3 years that could help
train pilots in dangerous situations, in
awareness but most of all in prevention. Also,
enhanced improvement in personal performance.
The prerequisites were: excellent equipment, top
rate instruction, excellent methodology for the
facilitation of the learning process, safety
procedures that would provide a safe
environment, insure confidence and fair price
relative to services rendered.
It was crucial to have an objective
evaluation of the course for our purpose. I was
confident that our chief pilot (who has over
18,000 hrs in air, airplanes including King Air
300-350, Westwind, and Lear 35) would be more
critical than myself in the evaluation process.
We were both very impressed with APS. The
equipment was in excellent condition,
instructors who for most part were F-16/F-18
pilots and instructors, etc. who have lived in a
high pressure atmosphere were passionate about
training. Their syllabus content was complete,
thorough, and was enriched with pertinent visual
aids. They were primarily concerned with safety
and never compromised. We were satisfied with
the price and frankly thought it was a bargain.
Being a pilot carries a huge responsibility.
We are in an environment that can be as docile
as a Sunday afternoon drive, but can turn
hostile in an instant. You trained me how to
recognize the dangerous edge, be ready for the
unexpected and react instantly, safely, and with
confidence.
Thank you for the
best instruction I have ever been through and
for the life saving experience. I will be back
soon and can't wait for my recurrent.
All the Best to the Best!!

Our
Production Test Pilots praised the Fighter
Combat International staff for being
knowledgeable, totally professional, friendly
and accommodating. They found them committed to
delivering high-quality training and responsive
to each pilots individual needs...the aircraft
are ideally suited to the task and the video
recording system is very useful for debriefing
and subsequent review.
"I would not hesitate to recommend Fighter
Combat International training to aircraft
operators who are concerned with pilot
capabilities and flight safety."

"Thank
you for the most enjoyable flight training
experience of my life. Your professionalism and
expertise combined with the phenomenal capabilities
of the Extra 300L creates a powerful training
environment. Part of my duties as Flight Training
Standards Inspector with Transport Canada HQ is the
design of flight tests. Many of them are based on a
scale of '0'- '5' with '5' being considered the
"ideal performance" under existing conditions. If I
had to give you a mark on the quality of the
Emergency Maneuvers Training I would have to place
my mark somewhere around a '7'. Well done!
"After returning to Ottawa I
had a couple of flights to do in the King Air
100. I had not flown it in 85 days (getting
close to the 90 day 3 Take-off/Landing limit). I
noticed immediately that my overall flying is
more accurate and my comfort level is very high.
There is definitely a positive transference of
skill from the Extra 300L to other types of
aircraft.
"Keep up the good work and
remember to keep the shiny side up, down, or
anywhere you want." |

"I just wanted to thank you for an
outstanding Emergency Maneuver Training Course
last month. Having never been "inverted" in my
aviation career, the first session was rather
shocking to say the least, however, the learning
process kicked in quickly after that.
"Your curriculum is clear, well presented and
follows logical progression. The thorough
preflight briefings are interesting and very
well organized providing a solid knowledge base
for the mission. While I did experience some
"overload" in the air, your concise analysis and
corrections from the backseat were always
helpful and confidence-building. The video
continues to be an excellent learning resource
with its accurately flown demos and narration.
(It's also a great way to impress and sometimes
bore friends and family).
"I will definitely recommend the Emergency
Maneuver Training course at Fighter Combat
International to fellow pilots as an invaluable
addition to the limited upset training conducted
in typical heavy jet simulator courses. (Not to
mention a lot of fun)."
